Southern Railway Announces Changes in Unreserved MEMU Train Services
The Southern Railway has announced temporary changes in the origination, termination, and extension of unreserved MEMU train services in Tamil Nadu to streamline operations and improve passenger management. The revised arrangements will be in effect from February 6 to February 28, 2026.
Key MEMU Train Service Changes
Arakkonam – Tirupati MEMU (9:15 AM departure from Arakkonam) will now terminate at Tiruchanur instead of Tirupati.
Tirupati – Moore Market Complex MEMU (1:25 PM departure) will now originate from Tiruchanur at 1:30 PM.
Moore Market Complex – Tirupati MEMU (9:50 AM departure) will also terminate at Tiruchanur.
Tirupati – Arakkonam MEMU (3:40 PM departure) will now originate from Tiruchanur at 3:50 PM.
Railway officials stated that these changes are being implemented to ensure smoother train operations and better scheduling efficiency during the specified period.
Passengers travelling on these routes are advised to check updated train timings and boarding stations before commencing their journey to avoid inconvenience.
