Broadway Bus Stand Renovation: Bus Services Shifted to Royapuram and Deevuthidal from Today
Due to renovation and infrastructure development works at the Broadway Bus Stand in Chennai, the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) has announced major changes in bus operations. From Saturday, January 24, all buses that were previously operated from Broadway Bus Stand will now run from temporary bus terminals set up at Royapuram and Deevuthidal.
Royapuram Temporary Bus Terminal – Route Details
Buses operating via Anna Salai and EVR Periyar Salai will stop at the existing Nurse Quarters bus stop and the High Court bus stop on North Beach Road to drop passengers before proceeding to the Royapuram temporary bus terminal via Rajaji Salai.
Buses departing from the Royapuram temporary terminal towards EVR Periyar Salai and Anna Salai will halt at Paris Corner Signal and the High Court bus stop to pick up passengers before continuing on their regular routes.

Traffic Diversions and Passenger Information
- Buses via EVR Periyar Salai and Vepery will drop passengers at Nurse Quarters and proceed to Deevuthidal via Muthusamy Flyover.
- Buses via Beach Railway Station will stop at Paris Corner Signal and High Court bus stop before reaching Deevuthidal.
- Buses via Mannadi Road will use Esplanade Road and Muthusamy Flyover.
- Buses via Kamarajar Salai will turn left at Paris Corner, stop at the Paris Corner bus stop, and reach Deevuthidal via NSC Bose Road and Esplanade Road.
- Buses from Deevuthidal to Beach Railway Station will stop at Rangavilas bus stop for passenger boarding.
- The MTC has requested passengers to take note of the revised boarding points and temporary terminals and cooperate during the renovation period.
