Pammal - Kundrathur Four-Lane Road Project to Be Completed by 2026 - 2027

The long-pending Pammal - Anakaputhur - Kundrathur four-lane road project in Chennai is expected to be completed by the 2026–27 financial year, providing major relief to commuters in the city’s southern suburbs.
The road widening project aims to reduce traffic congestion, improve road safety, and support the growing residential and commercial development in areas such as Pammal, Anakaputhur, and Kundrathur. Works are being carried out in phases, with surveys already completed and construction progressing gradually.
Once finished, the four-lane road is expected to significantly improve connectivity between key residential zones, ensure smoother traffic flow, and cut down travel time for daily commuters.
