Tamil Nadu: Additional Tokens Issued on Auspicious Days for Property Registration
In Tamil Nadu, homebuyers and investors prefer registering property documents on auspicious (muhurtham) days, leading to a sharp rise in registration volume. To manage the increased demand, the Registration Department has announced additional tokens for document registration today.
Since today is an auspicious Karthigai month muhurtham day, a higher number of property documents are expected to be submitted across Sub-Registrar Offices.
Additional Tokens Issued Today
- Sub-Registrar Offices that normally allow 100 tokens per day will issue 150 tokens.
- Offices that usually issue 200 tokens will offer 300 tokens today.
The department stated that the move will help accommodate the surge in registrations and ensure smooth processing for the public.
