Railway Alert: Changes in Chennai - Villupuram MEMU Timings During Maintenance
The Chennai Railway Division has announced temporary changes to train services due to scheduled maintenance work on the Egmore–Villupuram section. According to the official press release, track maintenance will be carried out at the Vikravandi Railway Yard today and on November 26 and 27, from 12:15 PM to 3:45 PM.
Changes in Train Operations
- The MEMU train departing from Chennai Tambaram at 9:45 AM and heading towards Villupuram will be short-terminated at Tindivanam on all three days - today, 26th, and 27th November.
- In the return direction, the MEMU train scheduled to depart Villupuram at 1:40 PM and arrive at Chennai Beach will instead begin its journey from Tindivanam during the maintenance period.
Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly and follow updates issued by Southern Railway.
