Cyclone Montha Alert - Chennai & North TN Heavy Rain Forecast

Cyclone Montha over the Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a severe cyclone by 28 October 2025 morning, warns the IMD.
Chennai & Tiruvallur: scattered moderate to heavy rainfall, with North Chennai getting more showers. Coastal areas may see 50–70 mm rainfall, but no extreme flooding expected.
Andhra Pradesh: heavy to very heavy rain in Kakinada, Konaseema, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore.
Fishermen Advisory:
- Rough sea conditions from Vizhupuram to Kanyakumari.
- Fishermen advised not to venture into the sea for 4 days.
- Coastal visitors should avoid entering the water due to strong waves.
