Aadhaar, the 12-digit unique identification number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), is one of the most important documents in the country. It is widely required for services such as opening a bank account and obtaining a mobile phone connection.
At present, any changes or corrections in Aadhaar details can be made through Aadhaar service centers, e-service centers, or online portals. To further simplify this process, UIDAI has decided to launch a dedicated mobile application called E-Aadhaar.
With this app, Aadhaar holders will be able to update their details directly through their mobile phones. The facility is expected to allow changes in key information such as name, address, and date of birth, without the need to visit service centers in person.
The new initiative is aimed at making Aadhaar services more accessible and user-friendly for millions of citizens across the country.
