To fill up the 3644 vacant posts of constables in the TN police department, a written examination would be held on 9th of November. This was announced by the TN Uniformed Service Selection Board.
On Thursday, a notification was issued by the selection board. As per the notification, the vacancies of 2nd class constable, jail guard and firefighter etc in the TN police department would be filled up on the basis of written examination. The applications can be obtained through website jjj.tn.lk. The deadline for applying is 21st of September. By 25th of September, corrections could be made and on 9th of November a written examination would be held.
Details about vacancies etc:
For class2 constable posts there are 2833 vacancies in the police department. In the Prisons and Corrections dept, there are 180 vacancies. In Fire & Rescue Services dept, there are 631 vacancies for the posts of fire fighter.
Details about reservations etc:
It is said that in the written examination 20% reservation would be provided to those who studied in Tamil medium. There would be reservations for heirs, destitute widows, sportspersons and Ex-servicemen etc. For further information, the eligible and interested candidates could go to the Uniformed Service Commissioned website.
Educational qualifications:
It is worthy to mention here that to appear for the written examination for the vacant posts of constable, Grade 2, the candidates must have passed 10th class or equivalent. The candidates must be atleast 18 years of age and not more than 26 years of age. According to class and category, the upper age limit of the candidates would vary.
