Haj Punidha Payanam 2026 - 4065 people selected from Tamil Nadu!!
A sacred annual journey to Mecca in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj is termed as Hajj Punidha Payanam or Hajj Pilgrimage.
The latest news that has come out is that Haj Committee belonging to the state of Tamil Nadu has announced that as many as 4065 people from TN have been selected to go on Hajj pilgrimage in 2026.
Previously, 30th July 2025 was announced as the last day for applying online for those going on Hajj Pilgrimage. Until, 7th August, the deadline was extended is known. For this, a total of 10846 people from TN have applied.
On 13th August, a lottery selection took place to select those who would be going on the Hajj Pilgrimage in 2026. It is learnt that as many as 4065 persons have been selected from Tamil Nadu for the Hajj Pilgrimage in 2026.
Paying advance amount details:
An amount of Rs 152300 could be paid as advance payment towards the travel expenses by 25th August either through online money transfer through website or through app Ehat Nandan.
It must be noted that money can also be paid directly to the bank accounts of the Hajj Committee of India through SBI or Union Bank of India.
By 30th August, the receipts for payment must be submitted on the above said website or at the TN State Hajj Committee office. It was mentioned by the TN state Haj Committee that the website could be accessed for more details.
