Asias Tallest Murugar Statue to be erected at Erode in TN!!
Tindal Velayudhaswamy temple at Erode could coon become an important place for the devotees and visitors etc!!
It is now mentioned that the world`s tallest statue of 186m of Lord Murugar would be erected at this temple in Erode. This was as per Mr. P.K. Sekarbabu, minister for Hindu Charitable Endowments minister. Mr. Sekarbabu and Mr. S. Muthusamy, housing minister made their presence felt at this temple in Erode. They inspected the rajagopuram construction at this temple and the place where the tallest statue would be installed.
Mr. P.D. Sekarbabu spoke about how renovations are going on in many temples across Tamil Nadu. He added that till now as many as 3325 kumbhabhishekam have been conducted. By the end of 2025 kumbhabhishekam would be conducted in a total of 3500 temples. The TN government has provided a subsidy of Rs 1120 crores.
On 14th of July2025, kumbhabhishekam would take place in 46 temples including Thiruparangkundrm temple. Till now, kumbhabhishekam has been held in 124 Murugar temples in TN. Point to be noted is that in the last 4 years an huge amount of Rs 1400 cr has been donated for the renovation of the temples.
After 14 years, renovation work was carried out in the Thiruchendur Lord Murugar temple. An amount of Rs 200 cr was provided by famous HCL IT company. On behalf of TN govt, an amount of Rs 200 cr was provided. A 186m statue of Lord Murugar would be erected at Lord Velayudhaswamy temple in Erode to give an amazing look to the temple.
