403 classrooms, 13 labs etc inaugurated in 72 TN govt schools!!
The news that the chief minister of TN Mr. M.K. Stalin has inaugurated school buildings including 403 classrooms and 13 labs built at an amount of Rs 99.32 cr in 72 TN government higher and secondary schools has been the topic for discussion for many now.
It is well known to us that the Tamil Nadu govt has been implementing several schemes like internet facility in the schools, breakfast scheme of CM with the main aim of increasing the learning capacity of the students and to improve the quality of education across TN.
Information gathered is that the school education dept in the last 4 years has constructed 8209 high tech labs in the govt middle, high and secondary schools at a cost of Rs 519.73 cr, as many as 22931 efficient classrooms for the sake of 1677043 students studying in the government schools at a cost of Rs 455.32 cr and 38 model schools at a cost of Rs 352.42 cr per school per district. A total of Rs 3160 cr have been spent for construction of the school education department buildings.
Yesterday, the chief minister of TN Mr. M.K. Stalin caught the attention of many when he inaugurated 472 completed works including 403 classrooms in 72 government higher and secondary schools at a cost of Rs 99.35 lakhs.
Other important personalities who were present yesterday during the inauguration were deputy chief minister Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin, Ministers like Mr. Anbhil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Mr. E.V. Velu, Mr. N. Muruganantham, chief secretary etc.
