Established in the year 2008, ACS Medical College and Hospital has been doing superb service. Yesterday, the health minister Mr. M. Subramanian made his presence felt at this hospital.
The news is that the health minister met 4lakhth or naalu lakshamavadhu beneficiary of Innuyir Kappome Nammai Kakkum 48 scheme at ACS Medical College Hospital near Chennai. He enquired about the treatment and welfare etc.
It is worthy to note that this Innuyir Kappome Nammai Kakkum 48 scheme has been a superb scheme that saves the lives of those who get involved in road accidents. The TN govt helps them by providing Rs 1 lakh in their first 48 hours of admission (after accident) to 723 hospitals across TN. This includes 250 govt and 473 private hospitals in TN. Since inception, this scheme has been sensational and has been of great benefit to many. .From 2024, the amount has been increased to Rs 2 lakhs.
Information is that since the new govt took over about 4lakhs beneficiaries were admitted to the ACS Medical College Hospital. Moreover, 400001 and 400002 patients etc have also been admitted at this hospital for treatment.
Under this superb scheme as many as 101 treatments are being provided for the admitted patients. A total amount of Rs 365.02 cr has been spent on this by the TN government. The Union govt has announced a similar scheme that would provide Rs 1.5lakh to those patients as assistance within 7 days of an accident.
It is worthy to note that the scheme that has helped the people across entire India to receive Rs 1.5 lakhs and get benefit is the Innuyir Kappome Nammai Kakkum 48 scheme launched by the TN chief minister. The health minister spoke about how the TN govt has been providing financial assistance through this scheme after confirming that an accident has occurred.
