What’s happening regarding the construction of a/c bus stops in north Chennai?
The latest news that has come out now is that a tender has been invited by the TN govt for construction of air-conditioned bus stops in north Chennai.
To promote public transport in Chennai, the TN Govt, MTC and CMDA have been taking several development activities is known. Point is that as a part of this CMDA has taken a decision to construct a/c bus stops in north Chennai.
In phase one, CMDA has decided to construct 4 a/c bus stops in localities like Perambur, Royapuram, Kolathur and Port in Chennai.
An amount of Rs 8 cr has been allotted for this, Now, CMDA has invited tenders. The bus tops would be constructed with many modern facilities such as charging points, seats etc. It must be noted that the tenders could be applied from 3rd July to 17th July 2025. This was according to some officers belonging to CMDA.
