Amazing news!! Rope car facilities at Yercaud and Yelagiri tourist sites in TN- Tenders Invited now!!

The latest news is that the tourism department has invited tenders for preparing a detailed project report or DPR for construction of rope car facilities in Yercaud and in Yelagiri tourist places.
The state of TN is home for many temple shrines, lush green mountain ranges, art, architecture, natural beauty etc. The cultural and historical heritage has made TN a superb and much preferred destination spot for the tourists.
In this regard, green tourism, health tourism, heritage tourism, spiritual tourism, beach and adventure tourism has been attracting many tourists. It must be taken into account that Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation or TNTDC has been offering many tourism services to the tourists at affordable or low costs. These include Hotels, Amudhakam restaurants, tourist bus services etc.
It is known to us that TN Tourism Development Corporation has been operating boat cruises in place like muttukadu, mudaliarkuppam, Udhagamandalam,Kodaikanal, Yercaud, Pichavaram, Courtallam, Valankulam lake etc.
It is learnt that as per the orders from the chief minister of TN Mr. M.K. Stalin new boat cruises are being set up in several districts in TN. Tourists also have lots of interest to visit hilly places in TN. Many measures are being taken to help the tourists visiting the hilly places in TN.
Point is that the rope car facility is an important and excellent way to see and enjoy the natural beauty of the hilly tourist destinations. In this situation, the Tourism dept has mentioned that a study would be conducted for setting up of rope cars for the tourists visiting Yercaud in Salem district and Yelagiri in Tirupattur district in Tamil Nadu.
In Yercaud and in Poolampatti (Cauvery reservoir area) parking lots, parks, food stalls, walkways and information centres etc would be set up at an estimated cost of Rs 20 cr. At Yelagiri, the tourism development works would be carried out at a cost of Rs 10 cr. The TN govt has invited tenders for preparing a DPR for setting up of rope care facility in these above said places.
The feasibility of constructing a rope way is being studied. It is now revealed that a study would be conducted to determine the distance from one which place to which place a rope car would be constructed. The officials from the Tourism dept have explained that the next phase of work would begin only after tender is finalized and DPR is prepared. The benefit of setting up a rope car facility would be that it would attract more tourists plus boost the economic growth in the places.
