Across Tamil Nadu, Covid, Dengue and flu infection has been spreading now.
In this scenario, the Public Health Department has instructed the School Education Dept to monitor the health of the students.
It must be taken into account that everyday up to 20 people are getting affected by Coronavirus and as many as 219 Coronavirus affected patients are being treated. As many as 6 patients have died.
Likewise, 8000 plus people have been affected by Dengue fever and 4 have died. There are many who have got affected by influenza like fever and are in treatment in private as well as govt hospitals in Tamil Nadu.
The weather is also not constant and there are sudden rains and increase in temperature etc now. The doctors have issued warning that the fever cases would shoot up due to the weather.
It is known that the schools have reopened in TN on 2nd June. In this scenario, the respective district health officers have instructed schools district wise to monitor the student`s health.
It was later explained by some officials belonging to the Public Health dept that there has been continuous monitoring of the fever spread across TN and preventive measures are being taken in association with local bodies. They have mentioned that since the schools have reopened the students with low immunity would get affected with fever easily.
Truth is that if one student gets affected with fever then other students could also get affected easily. Therefore, if a student gets affected with fever, then the student must be advised to take complete rest in their house to prevent spreading of fever.
The officials concluded that if many students get affected then the school premises must be sanitised, local primary health centres must be approached and medical camps must be organised.
