It has been announced that for the sake of Bakrid, muhurtham days and weekends etc, 1608 additional special buses would operate in Tamil Nadu.
As per the press release from express transport corporation, on the muhurtham day of 6th June and Bakrid and weekend days like 7th and 8th June etc additional special buses would be operated from Chennai and from several places.
On Friday, as many as 520 special buses would be operated from Chennai based Kilambakkam to many places like Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari, Thoothukudi, Kovai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur etc. On Saturday, as many as 550 special buses would be operated to the above said places from Chennai.
Likewise on Friday, from Koyambedu in Chennai, as many as 100 special buses would be operated to many places like Hosur, Nagai, Velankanni, Tiruvannamalai, Bengaluru etc. On Saturday, as many as 90 special buses would be operated from Koyambedu to above said places in TN.
From Madhavaram in north Chennai, on Friday and Saturday, 24 buses each day would be operated and from Bengaluru, Erode and Tirupur and Kovai etc 300 buses would be operated to various places in TN. In total, as many as 1608 special buses would be operated.
Special buses would also be operated from other places (as per the requirement of the public) on Sunday for the sake of those returning back to Chennai and Bengaluru from their native places or hometowns
