Good news for the devotees!! Lift facility from July at Maruthamalai Lord Murugar Temple in TN!!
The struggles the devotees face while going to the Lord Murugar temple located on a small hill in Marudhamalai would soon become a thing of the past!!
By the month of July 2025, the lift facility would start operating at the Marudhamalai based Lord Murugar temple. This was revealed by Mr. Sekarbabu, minister for HR & CE.
Yesterday, the minister was busy involved in the kumbhabhishekam function activities of the Thondamuthur Mariamman temple and Periya Vinayagar temple near Coimbatore.
It is noteworthy that the HR & CE minister Mr. Sekarbabu also inaugurated a tarpana mandapam constructed at a cost of Rs 11.84 cr at Perur Patteeswarar temple, annadhana kudam constructed at a cost of Rs 51 lakh, Goshalai constructed at cost of Rs 55lakhs, cement road constructed at cost of Rs 16.30lakhs and staff toilet constructed at a cost of Rs 11.70 lakhs etc.
The minister later spoke about how there were plans to make the present temporary bus stand into a permanent one for the sake of the devotees. He added that there were also plans to construct a new bus stand for devotees especially in the rainy season. He explained that a glass walkway would be built on both sides of the path leading to the temple.
Important piece of information is that work on constructing an electric lift has been expedited and would become operational by the month of July.
In the Vadavalli area, a site for constructing a new polytechnic college has been surveyed also. It would be constructed at a cost in the range of Rs 20 cr to Rs 25 cr on a land of 2 acres. It is sensational to note that an education centre would also be constructed on behalf of Marudhamalai temple.
