Traffic Diversions Announced for IPL Match at Chepauk Stadium Today
The Greater Chennai Traffic Police (GCTP) has announced traffic diversions from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM in view of the IPL 2025 cricket match at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk.
Public Transport Advisory:
- Preferred access: Use MRTS Chepauk Railway Station or Government Estate Metro Station (both are within 200 meters of the stadium).
- Mini Bus/MTC/Special Buses: Not allowed on Wallajah Road. They will pick/drop only at Swamy Sivananda Salai.
- Pedestrian Access: Spectators can walk via Press Club Road (300 meters walk).
Private Vehicle Parking Guidelines:
- Car Pass Holders: Must park in the location specified in their car pass.
- Without Car Pass:
- Take Cathedral Road - R.K. Salai - Kamarajar Salai (Marina Beach Road).
- Park on Marina Beach service road.
- Walk to the stadium via subways (500 meters walk).
Taxi/Auto/Chauffeur Driven Vehicles:
- Use Anna Salai - Wallajah Road to drop off near the stadium.
- Vehicles can then be parked on both sides of the road near Sivananda Salai & Marina Beach Swimming Pool Service Road.
GCTP urges the public to cooperate and plan travel accordingly to avoid congestion.
