Northeast monsoon by October 20-24

Regional Me��teorological Centre (RMC), Chennai has mentioned that we can expect the northeast monsoon by October 24. Weathermen expect the SW monsoon to withdraw fr�om TN by October 10 and the main rainy season � northeast monsoon � to set in by October 20-24.
According to data available with the Regional Me��teorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, Tamil Na�du registered one per cent deficit mean rainfall at 31.97 cm for the SW mo�nsoon season (June-Se�ptember) compared to the normal of 32.14 cm. On the other hand, Nunga�m�bakkam and Meenam�bakkam recorded 61.6 cm (17.3 cm excess) and 65.9 cm (17.1 cm excess).
