Security cameras to be set for patrol vehicles

The city police have installed the CCTV cameras in about 200 patrol vehicles for better surveillance. These vehicles are expected to be very useful in places without CCTV cameras. The CCTV cameras can pan tilt zoom on any person or place up to 200 meters distance, it will help in live monitoring of protests, meetings and agitations.
A few of these vehicles have helped greatly to monitor the celebrations of Ganesh Chathurti and immersion of idols. It is possible to watch the captured images live on a website and it can also be accessed easily with username and password.
