Race between cyclists and motorists

The Chennai Corporation made proposals on laying separate tracks for bicycles. However, as the project requires more funding, it is left pending till now. At this juncture, the civic body has made promises to lay new cycle lanes across the city.
Enquiring to the Tamil Nadu cycling association, one of the officials stated that the cyclists are being intimidated by two wheelers and four wheelers. He added that these threats will leave the cyclists with more chances of severe injuries.
