29,511 new voters have enrolled

29,511 new voters have enrolled themselves in the electoral list. Previous voters strength in Chennai stood at 34, 20,098. In order to facilitate the easy enrolment of voters who have attained the age of 18 as on 1.1.2014, election commission has created 45 designated browsing centres for easy access. Eligible voters can register themselves at www.elections.tn.nic or they can approach the designated centers. Required forms for enrollment are made available. Election Commission has indicated that Form 6 should be used for inclusion of names, Form 7 for deletion and Form 8 for correction. All omissions and commissions should be submitted bet�ween 1.10.2013 and 31.10.2013, in corporate zonal offices.
