Support from C.M Jayalalitha for the rise in rice price

Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha has recently announced a hike in the paddy price in Tamil Nadu. This has encouraged and made the farmers in Tamil Nadu to become happy and thank the CM for the same. They are now getting an additional price rise of Rs. 50 and Rs.70 per quintal, which helps them to get about Rs, 1310 for the ordinary paddy and Rs, 1345 for high quality paddy respectively.
The farmers will start getting these prices since October, 1. This decision was taken by the Chief Minister while chairing a meeting with the senior officials and her cabinet colleagues. The Chief Minister has further directed this announcement to the respective district collectors especially in Cauvery delta regions.
