All India bank strike on September 25th

All India bank strike is happening on September 25 to protest the government�s proposal to merge the public sector banks. The All India bank Employees Association (AIBEA) and the Bank Employees Federation of India are the major players who have called for this strike.
The strike also opposes the merging of Associate banks with State bank of India. However, chief officers will not be part of this strike. Also, cheque transactions worth Rs. 2 crores will also not happen on that day.
