Teachers banned to use cellphones in classrooms

Directorate of elementary education already banned students to use cellphones in schools, now teachers have been told to switch off their cellphones inside the classrooms.
In a circular issued on September 19 to all elementary schools in the Tamilnadu, R. Elangovan, director of elementary education,said the use of cell phones was proving a distraction to teachers and therefore had to be switched off.
