What is happening exactly now regarding the inauguration of the Kilambakkam bus terminus in Chennai??

Now, the new bus terminus at Kilambakkam in Chennai is making news for the wrong reasons!!
The Chennai residents have been anticipating eagerly regarding the opening of the new bus terminus at Kilambakkam. There is now some delay in this.
It was brought out that delay in the completion SWD plus widening of Iyenchery- Meenakshipuram Road, ongoing construction on the main road etc have been responsible for delay in the opening of this new bus terminus and these works might go on till Deepavali.
On Thursday, Mr. Sekar Babu, CMDA minister mentioned that the TN government would open the bus terminus at Kilambakkam in a phased manner before deepavali. It is noteworthy that the facilities provided for the passengers here were reviewed. The important piece of information is that the bus terminus has been built without considering the requirements of the passengers.
The CMDA minister then explained that Kilambakkam is a low lying area and heavy rains would lead to water stagnation. He added that the approach roads were narrow and the present TN govt doesn`t want to take the blame entirely. There are atleast 10 pending works now and tenders have been floated for some works and work has started for other works.
In the first phase, buses plying to Tirunelveli would be allowed and then in phase 2 buses to Madurai would be allowed from this new bus terminus. In the 3rd phase, buses to Villupuram would be allowed from here. A meeting would be organised regarding these.
