Integral Coach Factory or ICF in Chennai is famous for manufacturing rail coaches is well known. Now, ICF has been concentrating on the manufacture of Vande Bharat or VB trains that can run at very high speeds. Last Saturday, the 25th VB train that was manufactured at ICF was sent out and this grabbed many eyeballs. On the occasion, the officials and workers belonging to ICF celebrated their happiness with sweets.
It is noteworthy that Telangana Governor and Deputy Governor of Puducherry Tamilisai Soundarajan made her presence felt at ICF in Chennai yesterday. She then watched the VB train coach under production at the factory. She then appreciated the various amenities that are present in the VB trains such as the seating facility, talk back facility, charging facility and availability of special washrooms for the commuters etc. She praised the efforts taken by various officers and workers at ICF in producing the 25th VB train.
She then spoke about how the VB trains have gained immense popularity and how even those who travel in flights want to travel in the VB trains now. The planning that is needed in the production of VB trains has been amazing. She concluded that ICF in Chennai has manufactured more than 71000 rail coaches and by this ICF has become one of the world`s popular rail coaches manufacturing factories. The event witnessed the presence of GM of ICF, Mr. PG. Mallya and Principal chief mechanical engineer Mr. Srinivas etc.
