Parents be ready - School teachers now visiting the houses of students in Chennai?

It seems that the onset of NE monsoons have not only led to the disruption of normalcy in many places in Chennai but also made the school students not attend their schools!!
The news is that the Chennai Corporation school teachers have been visiting the houses of their students to know about the reason regarding the increase in the number of absentees.
There has been a decline in the attendance of the students in various schools belonging to the Chennai Corporation located near the water bodies after the onset of NE monsoons. In the past few days, more than 30% of the studeNts have not come to their schools. The teachers of the schools have been instructed by the officials of GCC to track these students who have not gone to their schools after the onset of NE monsoons.
With the help of phone numbers of the parents, the teachers have been collecting the information about the reason for the absence of the students after the onset of NE monsoons. In 279 schools belonging to the GCC, more than 1.07 lakh students are studying and these schools have about 3800 teachers is known.
The important reason why the students have not been attending classes was due to an increase in fever cases in areas near water bodies. This has been found out in a preliminary estimate by teachers now.
Some parents also have fear of students getting electrocuted after the rains and they have stopped sending their kids to the schools now. It must be taken into account that recently in Pallikaranai a person was electrocuted when he tried to cross the road.
It was pointed out by an officer from Chennai Corporation that the teachers have been visiting the houses of the absentees and they have taken students to the UPHC of Chennai Corporation for treatments.
