Lost or misplaced Ration Card?? Not to worry anymore!!

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has been distributing most of its welfare schemes, financial assistance, etc., only through the Family Ration Cards.
As such, the possession of a family Ration Card becomes more important!
However, do not worry if the ration card is lost or misplaced!
An option has been introduced to redeem the family ration card ONLINE!
Citizens who do not have internet access can visit the office of the District Food Items and Distribution and apply there!
Procedure to apply ONLINE and redeem the Family Ration Card:
Visit the website:
- https://www.tnpds.gov.in/
Click the Option `Customer Entry` (in Tamil, `Payanar Nuzhaivu`)
Enter the cell number given for registration as per the ration card.
Next, enter the `Captcha` given.
An OTP (One-Time-Password) will be received on the cell phone!
Click the button `Smart Card` Print appearing on the next page! Select the language. And then, SAVE
The ration card will be in .pdf format!
