The health minister Mr. M. Subramanian wanted more people to come forward and get vaccinated in the future camps. It is well known that the Coronavirus infection pandemic has been brought under control now and the cases have reduced well. He spoke about how many foreign nations have been witnessing an increase in the number of Covid cases now and how those eligible people in TN must come forward and get vaccinated.
On all Sundays in September 2022, the health department would be conducting mega vaccination drives to vaccinate as many people as possible.
Till now, just 14.88% of the eligible population has been administered with the precautionary booster dose. The upcoming mega vaccination drives would encourage more people to get the precautionary booster doses.
The surprising piece of information is that till now atleast 4.66 crores of people who are eligible for the booster vaccination doses haven`t yet received the vaccine.
Till the end of the month of September, free precautionary vaccination would be there and more people would be benefited. People must stay protected against the deadly infection despite the low numbers now. This was according to the state health minister.
It is learnt that in TN 96.39% of persons above the age of 18 have been administered with the first vaccination dose and 90.615 have received both the doses.
