Exercise at Chennai airport
A partial exercise of aircraft accidents was carried out at Chennai airport this week between 2.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. The exercise, according to officials of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), is carried out once in two years. During this exercise, the ATC Tower gives accident notifications and fire and rescue operations are executed.
Doctors and paramedics from nearby hospitals and ambulance services also participated in the exercise.
