Rs 1000 scholarship amount for economically backward women for higher education - Whats the latest?

For carrying out corrections in the application forms for Rs 1000 monthly amount for the girl students in TN, 2 days time has been given now.
In order to ensure the higher education of women belonging to the economically backward families in TN, the Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Memorial Marriage Fund Scheme has now been renamed as Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education guarantee Scheme.
It was announced by the government of TN that every student studying higher education would be provided with a scholarship amount of Rs 1000 per month. For this, online applications were invited from the eligible candidates. Earlier, 30th June 2022 was the last date for receiving the applications but it was extended for another 10 days and on 10th July the application form for scholarship was closed. Till now, more than 4lakh students have applied for this scholarship. From next month onwards, the students who join arts, sciences and engineering colleges would get a Rs 1000 amount as scholarship.
For making corrections in their applications, the students who have applied for scholarships have been given 2 more days. It was highlighted by the higher education department that 2 more days have been given for approving the pending applications, making corrections in the bank account details and opening of a new bank account etc.
