No drinking water supply in south Chennai for 2 days!!

The desalination plant at Nemmeli is making news now!!
Maintenance works would be carried out by CMWSSB at Nemmeli desalination plant and due to this supply of drinking water would be stopped in southern Chennai. Between 9 am on 23rd July to 9 am on 25th July 2022,110 MLD supply of water would be stopped to localities like Thiruvanmiyur, Kottivakkam, Palavakkam, Perungudi, Velachery, Sholinganallur,Injambakkam, Neelankarai etc.This has been mentioned by the release from metro water department.
The release further pointed out that alternative arrangements have been made to supply drinking water to these localities. It must be noted that the water manager has also requested the public to store sufficient amounts of water and use water judiciously.
It is noteworthy that the residents could contact the respective area engineers through the number 8144930913 for Velachery and Thiruvanmiyur and through number 8144930914 for Kottivakkam, Palavakkam and Perungudi, and through number 8144930921 for Injambakkm, Neelankarai and Sholinganallur for getting the lorry water.
