Once in a lifetime opportunity for the TN school students in the coming July month in Chennai??

The students belonging to the TN state run government schools have now got a superb reason to rejoice!!

Not everyone gets the chance to meet famous personalities. It is now said that these government school students would be meeting popular Chess wizards at the Chess Olympiad in Chennai in 2022. This Chess Olympiad would take place in Chennai from 28th of July to 10th of August 2022 and is now highly anticipated by many. Mahabalipuram is a highly popular place near Chennai and at this place only Chess Olympiad 20022 would be held.

In this tournament many international chess players from nearly 150 countries would be making their presence felt. It was a huge surprise for many Chennai residents when the decision was taken to hold Chess Olympiads in Chennai. It must not be forgotten that this upcoming Chess Olympiad 2022 would have been held in Russia but a war between Russia and Ukraine was the cause for shifting the tournament to Chennai.

By the meeting, many students would be encouraged to play chess and this game has got tremendous ability to improve the memory power as well as the mathematical skills of the students.

The game of chess was one of the most favourite sports among the students especially in the government schools. Every year chess competitions are being organised at zonal, district, and state levels. This was mentioned by a senior officer belonging to the school education department.

For the meeting between the government school students and famous chess personalities an amount of Rs one crore has been allotted. The official hinted that apart from the winners in the local chess tournaments here, interested government school students would also be taken to witness this sensational chess tournament.

Information gathered is that FIDE along with All India Chess Federation would arrange a meeting between the international chess players and the students.
