New rule introduced and various information about the engineering counselling in TN!!

An important piece of information for the engineering aspirants belonging to Tamil Nadu!!
On 20th June 2022, applications for TN Engineering Admissions or TNEA would open for the students. On Wednesday, the state education minister Mr. Ponmudi grabbed many eyeballs when he released the schedule for the engineering counselling.
Registering applications online could be started by the students on 20th June 2022.It must be taken into note that the last date to apply would be 19th of July 2022. On 22nd July, random numbers would be released for all the candidates. Between 20th and 31st July, verification of certificates would be carried out.
On 8th August, rank list would be released and from 16th to 18th August 2022 online counselling for special reservation categories would be held. From 22nd August to 14th October 2022 counselling general category candidates would take place. It was later explained by the education minister that a new rule was introduced and as per the new rule the students who take part in the first round of counselling must pay the fees within a week of time.
Information is that if the students fail to pay their fees then their allotment would be cancelled and the students on the waiting list would get the preference. There were many complaints from students last year regarding the lack of sufficient facilitation centres. This time, these facilitation centres have been doubled and there would not be any inconvenience for the students. The education minister confirmed that the facilitation centres have been increased from 55 to 110 now.
