Qualification Certificate for those who have completed ITI (2-years course in Industrial Training Institutes on various trades)!

The Secretary of the Department Employee Welfare and Skill Development of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has released a government order (GO) to issue Academic Qualification Certificates similar to the certificates issued to the students who have done/completed 10th & 12th For the students who have completed the 2-years certificate course in Industrial Training Institute (ITI) on various trades including electrician, electronics, carpentry, welding, civil, etc,)!
As per this, for those who have completed 1-year course will be given a certificate equivalent to completion of the 10th Standard and for those who have completed the 2-years ITI course, a certificate equivalent to completion of the 12th Standard
In other words, for the candidates who have completed ITI after the 8th Standard, a certificate equivalent to those who have completed the 10th Standard will be given.
Those who have completed ITI after completing the 10th Standard will be given a certificate equivalent to having completed the 12th Standard!
It is stated further in this Government Order (GO) that these certificates will be useful ONLY when pursuing higher studies and this WILL not be considered any government employment!
It is worth noting that this order has been released subsequent to the announcement made in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly regarding this by the State Minister for Employee Welfare C. V. Ganesan.
