If you want to succeed in your profession, it is not necessary that you must be from a well renowned educational institution like IIMs or IITs etc!!
This has been proved now in Kissflow, a software company in Chennai. Just a few days back, this private company celebrated 10 years of its existence and gifted 5 of its most loyal employees with 5 series BMW cars for their superb part in the growth of the company.
At the lunch hosted by the company founder Mr. Suresh Sambandham, employees like Mr. Dinesh, chief product officer, Mr.Kaushik Ram, director of product management, Mr. Vivek, director of engineering, Mr. Adhi Ramanathan, director of engineering and Mr. Prasanna vice-president got a huge surprise.
According to the founder, all of them were from ordinary middle class families and some were from Tamil medium schools. He added that none of them studied at IIT or IIM etc. These employees have proved that coming from such an ordinary background can never be a hurdle for success.
It is surprising to mention that Mr. Dinesh has been in this organisation for past 21 years and for others like Mr. Adhi Ramanathan and Mr. Vivek this was their first job. The potential they saw in the work made these two to be in the same company. The work culture of the company was the reason behind why Mr. Prasanna and Mr. Kausik have struck with the Kissflow Company.
In the same manner, on Monday Mr. Murali Vivekanandan, founder and chairman of Ideas2IT grabbed many eyeballs when he gifted his 100 employees with Maruti Suzuki cars for their huge contribution to the company. It was mentioned by the CEO of Ideas2IT Gayathri Vivekanandan that those who received cars chose their favourite colour and the model etc.
The chairman Mr, Murali Vivekanandhan spoke about how it was an act of showing gratitude towards employees who were responsible for the success of his company. He was happy that the employees worked together as a whole family towards the success. An employee who received a Maruthi car as a gift expressed her delight and spoke about how she was with the organisation for 5 years and how she received the gift for her contribution. It was later mentioned by another employee that it was a huge surprise for many as they never expected such a gift. It is true that with these grand incentives, the Chennai firms are leading their way towards the appreciation of the employees.
