On Thursday, 17th march 2022, minister for higher education Mr. Ponmudy made many heads turn when he mentioned that the curriculum of Anna University will be transformed into the best curriculum in the world. The minister made his presence felt at the brainstorming session organised by AU to develop industry aligned curriculum. He hinted that changing the AU curriculum and upgrading it was very important and that the gap between the skill of the students and industry needs would be reduced. It must be taken into note that the curriculum of AU is being revamped after a long gap of 25 years. The brainstorming session took place for the whole day yesterday and it was pointed out by various stakeholders that a new curriculum would be prepared and that would make the students ready as per the industry requirements.
The AU officials mentioned that an industry aligned flexi curriculum for all the engineering colleges under AU was the need of the hour. The new curriculum would enhance the student�s skills and encourage them to be innovative.
