Chairman of TNPSC: Applications for participation in Group-2 and Group-2A examinations can be submitted from 23rd February!

The announcement for the important Group-2 and Group-2A examinations by TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) for some important senior posts such as registrar, etc., is set to be made on 23rd February!
The Chairman of TNPSC, K. Balachandran, has announced that the interested candidates may apply for participation in the Group-2 and group-2A examinations within 1 month from the date of release (23rd February).
The Chairman of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, K. Balachandran, had an interview with the press reporters on Friday (Yesterday, 18th February) at the Office Complex in Chennai Metro City. He shared:
�Among the important competitive written examinations conducted by TNPSC, there are more vacancies in the Group-2, Group-2A, and Group-4 category examinations. In the annual plan announced, the announcement for Group-2 and Group-2A examinations will be announced on 28th February.
In the annual; timetable, it was estimated for 5830 vacancies. Some departments withdrew their requests for recruitments. As such, the vacancies for appointments based on the performance in the interviews have come to be 116 and the vacancies NOT based on the interviews have come to be 5413.
Applications will be received until 23rd March. After that, the received applications will be scrutinized. The preliminary Examination will be conducted on 21st May. Once the results are announced, the counselling sessions will be conducted in December-January.
Group-2 Examinations will be conducted in 3 phases � Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Counselling Session.
Some important posts are included in the Group-2 Category. Examinations are for 17 Registrars and 19 Researchers in Labour Welfare Department.
For the first time, 58 new posts have been created in the Police Department for the posts of Special Section Assistants. These selections will be made based on the performance in view after the tests.
As regards the Group-2A category, the examination will be conducted for 462 vacancies in Revenue Department, and 335 Assistants in the Department of Rural Development.
The applications are to be received until 23rd March and then they will be scrutinized. A preliminary examination will be conducted on 21st May. The results of this examination will be announced in June. The Main examination will be conducted in September. Counselling is scheduled to be conducted in December-January.
Examination - morning examination time changed:
The examinations usually start at 10.00 AM to conclude at 1.00 PM. This has been changed now. As per this, the examination will commence at 9.30 AM and will conclude at 12.30 PM. Note that there is no change in the examinations conducted in the afternoon sessions � from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM.
