Corona-III - Number of infected crosses 25000 in Chennai Metro City!

The number of infected citizens in this third wave of coronavirus and its variant Omicron has crossed 25000 in the Chennai Metro City. It may be noted that 5000 citizens were infected in Chennai Metro City on a single day!
On Sunday (9th January), 12895 citizens were confirmed with coronavirus infection! This is an unprecedented record in the last 6 months! Similarly, on the same day (Sunday, 9th January), 6185 citizens were confirmed with coronavirus infection. This too is an unprecedented record in the last 8months.
Subsequently, the Greater Chennai Corporation has released the zone-wise list of the coronavirus affected citizens today (Monday, 10th January).
As per this, presently, 25798 citizens are under treatment for coronavirus. Until now, 8676 citizens have died.
Out of the 15 Zones in Chennai Metro City, a maximum infected of 3382 was from Teynampet and 3312 citizens in Anna Nagar. The number of infected has crossed 2000 in Royapuram, Kodambakkam and Adyar!
