Total lockdown in Tamil Nadu now - Whats happening now?

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. M.K. Stalin would be busy discussing with the higher officials of the medical department about the fast spreading Omicron variant and also about various measures that are needed to be taken to control the spread. It is worthy to note that today the discussion with the officials belonging to the health department and with the chief secretary of TN Mr. Iraianbhu would be held at the Secretariat.
The Omicron variant has been spreading like fire now in TN and many are getting affected every day. The government has taken many steps to control the spread of the infection. At the airports in TN, the monitoring works have been intensified and the passengers have been asked to follow various protocols compulsorily. Integration officers have been appointed to monitor those passengers who come to Chennai from foreign nations. The monitoring has been intensified now.
Guidelines have been released by the TN government regarding the treatment of Covid-19 affected patients.
It is now brought out that in today`s meeting there would be various discussions about the intensifying of restrictions in various districts, more monitoring along the state borders, more testing of the public and increasing vaccinations etc as the number of Omicron cases are increasing in TN.
