Lyricist Pulamaipithan passes away!

The popular Tamil film Lyricist Pulamaipithan has passed away due to illness!
Lyricist Pulamaipithan has written a huge number of lyrics for films!
He died due to prolonged illness. He was 85 years old.
He was born in the year 1935 in Coimbatore District.
He had written lyrics for more than 100 films!
He commenced his career in Tamil films with the hugely popular song �Naan Yaar Nee Yaar� in the movie �Kudiyirundha Koil� and proceeded to write many more!
It may be noted that the song was written in chaste Tamil, �Thaaimai Vaaxhgena� in the recently released Tamil Movie �Their� starring the popular actor Vijay, was written by Pulamaipithan.
He functioned as the Government�s poet during the reign of former Tamil Nadu Chief Ministers M G Ramachandran and Jayalalithaa and also functioned as the Party Chief of the political party AIADMK!
