In the future, new umbrella shades, aesthetic sit outs plus washrooms and shower facilities would greet the visitors at Mudaliarkuppam near Chennai.
Many visit tourist spots to have relaxation and happiness. The public often finds these spots unclean with garbage etc.
Recently, the state budget announced that the stretches of beaches in TN would be cleaned and improvised to get international blue flag certification. Now the TN tourism department has initiated a cleaning process. It is now brought to light that by next month it will kick start its maiden eco-friendly beach policy in place at Mudaliyarkuppam present on the ECR. Cleaner and equipped beach would greet the thronging visitors at this popular boating facility in ECR. The facilities would match the needs of the tourists, especially kids and women. This was stated by Mr, G. Chandramohan, secretary, Tourism & Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment.
For developing the beach landscape, TN has handed over the government land and soon umbrella shades plus others like aesthetic sit outs, washrooms etc would be coming up at Mudaliarkuppam. It is said that in the future Muttukadu boating facility would also be improvised.
It is known that the Mudaliyarkuppam lagoon is famous for those seeking paddling, water scooters, adventure boats etc. The shoreline would be free from debris and garbage as the additional staff would be doing their roles in cleaning the beach. This was as per a local TTDC officer.
The littering would be banned in the vicinity and the top management has given the concept of clean and eco-friendly beach. The TTDC officer then explained how new boats have been ordered already. It is said that the beach would be ready to engage the tourists shortly. Information gathered is that the tourism development board had marginally increased the tariff for all the boating facilities in Tamil Nadu.
