From 10th May 2021, total lock down was imposed in Tamil Nadu to control the spread of Coronavirus infection. This was highly effective and the number of Covid-19 infection cases went down in TN. The second infection wave has not yet completed and there is now the threat of a third wave. Now, the Coronavirus cases are increasing slowly in Tamil Nadu and many people are getting affected by this deadly infection.
The important piece of information is that in those districts in TN where the number of Coronavirus cases have increased, intensifying of lockdown has been going on. The CM of TN, Mr. M.K. Stalin had previously stated that he would be extending the lock down for another 2 weeks of time.
Information collected is that the district of Coimbatore has got more chances of getting affected by the upcoming third Coronavirus infection wave. This was according to the district corona prevention special officer Mr. M.A. Siddique. It was brought to light by a recent study that Corona resistance was 43%. He added that within a month of time the third Coronavirus infection wave would strike and if the people do not follow the protective measures then there could be a total lock down also.
