Official announcement from Puducherry Government: SCHOOLS WILL NOT REOPEN TOMORROW!

With the first and resurgent coronavirus pandemic waves, the schools and colleges were constrained to be closed more than a year ago!
As such, classes are being conducted ONLINE!
In this situation, the new Academic Year has already commenced.
Meanwhile, the state government was constrained to announce successive lockdown impositions as a preventive measure against the raging coronavirus! As such, due to this preventive measure, the extent/impact of the spread of the raging coronavirus has come down substantially since the last few weeks!
In this latest scenario, more relaxations are being announced by the states with each successive extension of the lockdown imposition!
Subsequently, with all the above relaxations, the Union The territory of Puducherry has announced that all schools will reopen for classes from the 9th to the 12th Standards from tomorrow (Friday, 16th July).
However, after considering the appeal from the public, Puducherry PWD Minister Namasivayam has announced that THE SCHOOLS WILL NOT REOPEN AS ANNOUNCED – THEY WILL BE REOPENED ONLY AFTER SAFE AND RIGHT CONDITIONS PREVAIL WITH COMPLETE ERADICATION OF THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC!
