An important announcement has been released regarding the opportunity for children for free and compulsory education!
As there has been a reducing trend in the impact/extent of the prevailing resurgent coronavirus pandemic, activities have been initiated for the reopening of schools and colleges.
In a notification released in this regard by the Tamil Nadu Matriculation Schools Association, it is mentioned:
Under the Children�s Free & Compulsory Right to Education Act, action has been in progress from 24th June for the admission of the children belonging to the economically backward cadre or destitute children, a quota of 25% seats are reserved in ALL THE NON-MINORITY PRIVATE SCHOOLS in LKG or the 1st Standard whichever class the school starts with.
For this admission, the parents can apply online on the website www.rte.tnschools.gov.in from 5TH JULY. The last date for applying online is 8th August. Subsequently, the received applications will be scrutinized and the details of the application and in case the application were rejected, the reasons for the same would be uploaded on the official website of the respective private schools and displayed on the school notice-boards as well!
In case the number of applications received is more then the allotted seats, a lucky draw will be conducted in the respective schools on 10th August and the children for admission will be selected.
