HALLMARK MANDATORY ON GOLD SALES! HOW DOES THE PUBLIC BENEFIT?

The government of India has ordered that all gold marked for sales MUST have Hallmark!
This order has come into effect from yesterday (Tuesday, 15th June).
It has been announced that henceforth only 14, 18 & 22-carat gold jewellery will be sold.
A Hallmark seal is required to establish the purity of gold! However, in India until now, the Hallmark seal was for only 40% of gold jewellery sold!
Out of the 4 Lakhs gold jewellery makers in India, only 35879 traders have a BIS certificate!
Guideline from the Central Government
Indian Gold jewellery traders WILL SELL ONLY 14, 18, & 22 CARAT GOLD JEWELLERY FROM 15TH JUNE!
The applications for Hallmark Registration can be sent online!
Note: THIS LATEST ORDER PROTECTS THE CUSTOMER FROM BUYING (OR BEING CHEATED) GOLD JEWELLERY OF LOWER CARAT VALUE!
Henceforth, �Hallmark� seal for 22, 18. 14 Carat Gold and the Identity Number of the Gold Jeweler will be available on the gold jewellery
So, the customers should be alert to check and confirm, before buying gold jewellery!
