The airfares for domestic flights within India are all set to go up by 15% from 1st June!
Due to the raging resurgent coronavirus pandemic, the flight services were reduced as a preventive measure to check/prevent the spread!
With the number of flight passengers also decreasing drastically, the airline services encounter a difficult time and are struggling to keep up with the maintenance and other huge expenses. Subsequently, the Central Ministry of Aviation has ordered to increase the domestic flight fares by 15%.
There are no changes in the supplementary airfares. The revised flight fares will be effective from 1st June.
The fare for the domestic flights with a duration of around 40 minutes will be increased from Rs. 2300 to Rs. 2500.
For flight durations of 50 minutes, the fare would be increased from Rs. 2900 to Rs. 3300.
