PG courses admission schedule announced by Madras University

Under the new choice based credit system or CBCS this year, University of Madras or MU has released a post graduate and diploma admission schedule for 2021-22.
It is important to mention here that under the new choice based credit system a student would be able to choose courses from prescribed programmes of core, elective or minor, or skill based courses. It is known that the conventional mark system has been used to award marks for the students. It is now said that the students would be evaluated on the grading system.
Truth is that the grading system is better than the mark system. Due to the lockdown in TN to control the spread of Covid-19 infection, all the admission procedures like uploading the application form to seat allotment would be made through online. This MU is highly popular and it offers 20 POG courses, 19 PG diploma or diploma courses plus 7 certificate courses. These courses are recognised by UGC is known to us. For the various courses, about 1 lakh students would be applying.
For PG courses, the students could enrol themselves till 15th June 2021. This was announced by MU in its latest notification. The last date for filling in the applications is 15th July for the PG diploma and certificate courses. It is now brought out that the admissions for other professional post graduate courses like MBA and MCAS would be done by DOTE through a single window system. It is learnt that the fees for the programmes could be paid online.
