From 10th May, total lockdown has been imposed in TN to control the spread of Covid-19 infection. Now, the government of TN has announced relaxations for the fruit shops and Indian stores selling Indian medicines. During this total lockdown, the fruit shops can function till 12 pm. This was mentioned in the government order or GO. It also stated that medical stores that sell Indian medicines, allopathy medicines etc can also function.
One day relaxation has been provided for the private companies for the sake of maintenance works with a minimum number of workers. Continuous process industries have been permitted to function in this total lock down and toll free help lines were announced for these industries.
On Sunday, the TN government grabbed many eyeballs when it announced a series of sops that included Rs 280 crores allotment to the MSME sector. This was done after meeting the industrialists and traders etc.
It was brought out by a government communiqu� that out of total Rs 280 crores 60percent that is Rs 168 crores would be dispatched immediately and for various MSMEs steps would be taken for issuing loans. It is worth mentioning here that extension on relaxations was provided for the MSMEs from paying stamp duty on memorandum of deposit or MOD for obtaining loans from banks and financial institutions till 31st December.
Information is that licences required from several departments such as TNPCB, Fire and Rescue Department, labour Department, Industries Department and commercial licences would expire by the month of May. They have been extended till 31st of December 2021.For a time of 3 months, exemptions have been provided for autos and taxis from paying road tax.
As Covid-19 relief for the CMPRF, the new CM of Tamil Nadu Mr. M.K. Stalin invited donations from the public, social welfare organisations and large industries etc.
